eCOGRA, the online casinos industry self-governing body, is planning to launch the biggest ever player's survey. The objective of the enterprise is to get the real feel and spirit of the online casinos audience and use that information to regulate and improve the world of online casinos gambling. eCOGRA has created a set of rules that any online gambling site that wants to feature the eCOGRA seal of safe play must meet. That way the industry is developing a code of conduct that helps make it a better place for online gamblers.
The main focus of this survey will be the online casinos players themselves, and will not be used, like other surveys, to benefit the online casinos operators or other elements in the world of online casinos. "It's really listening to what the players have to say. It's really finding out what's important to them," said Andrew Beveridge, chief executive of the online gambling self-regulating body. The survey will cover some 20,000 online players and will make a good basis for analysis.
More than 85 sites will feature eCOGRA's survey and online casinos players will be able to access the survey online and fill it in directly. All sites that are participating in the project already have the 'Play it Safe' seal that means that they meet all of eCOGRA's regulations and are considered as safe online casinos. "We have a lot of resources at our disposal in terms of the number of sites that we're involved with and a lot of those sites are generating huge amounts of traffic and so we should be able to get the necessary response," Beveridge said.
